6. Reflection of the main purpose of the festival.
With the promotion packages emphasis on corporate travels and city shopping, and many types of discount offered for bulk groups and certain personal criteria like NSF or student or elderly, Singapore Arts Festival not only tries to transform the city into a cultural hub or centre for art by attracting performers from all over the world to exhibit in Singapore, but also to increase the number of domestic and inbound tourist to maintain cash flow in tourism industries which business peak is usually seasonal. Thus it was a smart move to have business or corporate package as business travels are at their most that period of the year.
